How long does it take for the server to be activated?
Activation is automatic and it takes only few minutes after the payment for the server to be provisioned and the Operating System to be installed. You’ll receive an e-mail with the IP address of your server and information on how to login.
How can I connect to my server?
Linux Servers can be managed via SSH and Windows Servers via RDP (Remote Desktop Connection). Our Servers come with SSH and RDP enabled and you can connect right away. You can always use “VNC Console” in portal.massivegrid.com to connect if you lose SSH or RDP access due to any misconfiguration.
Can I re-install the OS of my server?
Yes, anytime you want and for as many times you want, via the control panel in portal.massivegrid.com. You can chose between Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
If there’s a hardware failure, how long will my server be down for?
Due to our High Availability technology and architecture, most hardware failures go unnoticed and you’ll have zero downtime 🙂 In extreme cases downtime can be minutes. Our 24×7 support team and the automatic failover mechanisms take care of it.
How can I pay?
You can pay by using any card (credit card or debit card) and PayPal. We’ll soon add also Crypto payments. The cards supported are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, China UnionPay (CUP), Discover & Diners Club, eftpos Australia and Japan Credit Bureau (JCB).
Can you fully manage the server for me?
Yes, our Cloud Servers and Cloud Dedicated Servers are fully managed services. We can offer support for the Server, the Operating System and the Applications running in the server under SLA.
Can I change the IP address of my Server?
If the IP address after you get the server doesn’t work for you, please open a support ticket within 24 hours to our team and we’ll change the IP address for free.
Is port 25 open?
Port 25 is not open. Our team can open it for you after you submit a ticket for transactional e-mail. Mass e-mailing use isn’t allowed.
Can I use the Server for mining?
Mining or other similar activities are allowed only at specific for this usage products. Please contact sales@massivegrid.com for appropriate configurations for mining.
Do you offer a free trial?
We offer 15 days money back guarantee. If you’re not satisfied for any reason after your order you can cancel the service automatically in the portal and open a ticket to our billing department for a refund and it’ll be processed in 1 business day.
What kind of support do you offer?
We’ll make sure that your VPS is always up and running and that you’ll be able to connect via Console in our control panel so that you can manage it at all times. Our support team is available 24×7.
Do you provide backups and snapshots?
We provide 2 free snapshots for each VPS. You can also use unlimited backups at only $0.01 per GB, managed through our portal. Snapshots are very useful before any major configuration changes in your server, so that you can instantly roll back if needed.
What billing cycles do you support?
You can choose between monthly, quarterly (5% off), semi-annually (10% off), annual (20% off), biennial (30% off) and triennial (40% off) billing cycles. Not only you save a significant amount of costs by selecting longer billing cycles, you won’t have to frequently monitor payments.
Can I change the billing cycle?
Certainly. Please open up a ticket to our billing department in our portal and request for the billing cycle to be altered as you prefer. Our billing department will process your request within 2 days.
Can I pay automatically?
Yes, you can save your card (top level PCI compliance) via our portal so that payments are automatically executed. Similarly, you can select the PayPal subscription for fully automatic payments of your service. If anything goes wrong with the automatic payment, you’ll receive an e-mail from us.
Can I install my own image or ISO?
Certainly. Right after your order, please open a support ticket via our portal.massivegrid.com and our team will help you attach your image to your server. Since we run KVM which is fully virtualized any image can run on our servers.
Can I change the resources of my server?
Yes, anytime you want, you can increase or decrease the CPU and RAM of your server or increase the storage. Servers are fully virtualized so storage can’t be decreased, can only be increased.
How much will I pay if I change the resources of my Server?
You’ll pay only for the difference. If you downgrade, you’ll automatically get credits in your account. Our portal will automatically calculate the pricing.
